We are Dutch parents with a dry sense of humor, two precious children, a cat and 7 chickens.
Lavina is a youth- and family professional who has empowered many families to find restoration.
Mat is a visionary, a researcher, known for his spiritual discernment.
We have left the Netherlands for now, to escape the hustle and bustle, allowing us to focus on what truly matters. As life slowed down for us, we realized that we are passionate about encouraging others to strive for health and wholeness in various ways.
The Story
Lavina didn’t have the most pleasant childhood. When she was 10 years old, child protective services decided to place her out of her home. Since then, she has been searching for ways to no longer feel broken, to stop the traces of destruction, and to build a beautiful and healthy family of her own. We are incredibly happy to be able to say that it worked out!
Through both our personal experiences and education, we have learned how to transform a dysfunctional and broken family into a healthy one – step by step.
The Mission
We have been observing a process in society where wholeness is not encouraged. Quite the contrary.
The trend seems to ebb and flow throughout history.
Our mission is to protect children and strengthen marriages amidst these changing times. We like to accomplish that partly through this Christian family blog. Because, after all, family is the foundation of society!
Although we are not “of this world,” as the Bible says, we are certainly “in this world”. Not just to get by, but to grow, flourish and to help others find freedom!
